With their paper business sitting in the background for a number of years, the CPI Group had a new company strategy to focus more on their paper market and as such wanted to communicate this to stakeholders. Also, the annual report doubles as a paper sample to present to potential buyers.
We developed the concept of ‘Resurface’ to communicate their business strategy, restructured the entire front end of the report, wrote introductory messages reinforcing the theme and introduced illustrative photography. The result is a quietly assertive, sophisticated annual report that has successfully lifted CPI’s image within Australia’s graphic arts industries, an experience of specialised colour, tone and texture.
